Hi & Stuff!
Introducing a new project I am excited about: the 30/30 Project. In October, I will participate in a poetry marathon to support a small indie press. I will write 30 poems in 30 days!
I already know there is great joy in writing a poem every day, and I am so looking forward to the 30/30 project.
I’m honored that I was invited to participate.
I will write a poem a day every day for the month and YOU can help!
Why Support Indie Lit?
Independent literary publishers are mission-driven—they focus on publishing literature.
Independent literary publishers provide access to the voices of entire communities.
Independent literary publishers produce over 98% of poetry being published each year, and the majority of literature in translation and works of fiction by emerging writers.
Simply pledge $1/day ($30) and choose one word from the list below. I will write a poem inspired by and containing each word as I get pledges. If I get 30 people pledging $30 each, I will get a seat at a writing retreat in the spring.
I picked October because it has 31 days, haha I get one day off!
The word list and donation is below. I will write in the order in which I receive pledges/requests.
