New York Area Writer Moms Spring Series

Scribente Maternum is a powerful community of writers who identify as mothers. We each have our own stories and struggles, but we are all writers and we are all mothers. Our retreats and other events celebrate children and grandchildren as inspiration while also providing the distance so necessary to be creative.

This spring event series for the New York Area chapter of Scribente Maternum is an incredible way to get to know some other writer-moms and take a moment to write, talk, and listen. All moms who write (and those who support them, too) are invited to share in these unique and special writing experiences.

Saturday, March 28: Meet at Spotted Cow Cafe in Roscoe at noon for lunch, writing and journaling with prompt

Sunday, March 29: Meet at Catskills Coffee Lodge at 9:15am for writing and journaling

Sunday, March 29: Meet at Seminary Hill Catskills at 11:30am for this fabulous storytelling performance.

Make a weekend of it by staying within walking distance to the cute local cafes at the Trout Town Inn or at The Yarra, just up the road.

Advanced registration is requested for all events but is not required.

These events are free, and food and beverages will be available for purchase. Your voluntary donation at checkout helps us amplify the voices of those writers who may not otherwise be able to attend our events. Thank you for your support!
